Overview

PlatkyKutti ("we," "us") is a learning platform for children, used by a parent or guardian who creates an account and sets up one or more child profiles. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices a parent has — on the website and in the Android app.

Information we collect

Parent accounts: name, email address, and a hashed password (or a Google account identifier if you sign in with Google). This is the only account type that has an email address or password — a parent must be logged in to create, manage, or delete child profiles.

Child profiles:a first name, an avatar emoji, and an age group, all chosen by the parent. Child profiles do not have an email address, phone number, or password of their own, and cannot be created or accessed without a parent's account. Gameplay data (which stories were read, quiz scores, game completions, saved paintings) is tied to the child profile so a parent can see progress.

Voice recordings (optional):the "Say it back" pronunciation-practice feature briefly records a short audio clip to check pronunciation. That clip is processed to produce a score and is not stored permanently or used for any purpose beyond that single check — see "Pronunciation checking" below.

How we use information

To run the service: creating and authenticating accounts, saving progress, showing a parent their children's activity, processing a Premium subscription, and sending account-related email (like verifying an email address). We do not use children's information for any purpose other than operating the app they're using.

Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed by Razorpay (on the website) or Google Play Billing (in the Android app). We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details — those are handled entirely by Razorpay or Google. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and which plan was purchased.

Pronunciation checking

Pronunciation checks are processed by a speech-recognition model that runs on our own server — audio is never sent to a third-party cloud speech API. The audio clip is used only to generate an immediate score/feedback and is not retained after that.

Advertising

PlatkyKutti does not show ads and does not use interest-based or behavioral advertising of any kind, for children or adults.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

PlatkyKutti is designed so that only a parent or guardian — never a child directly — creates an account, provides information, and manages payment. A child profile is created by the parent, contains no direct contact information (no email, no phone number), and cannot be used to contact the child or anyone else outside the app. A parent can review, edit, or delete a child's profile and all associated data at any time from the Parent Dashboard.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the service providers needed to run PlatkyKutti: Razorpay or Google Play (payments), our email provider (account verification email), and Google (only if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in). Each only receives what it needs to perform its function.

Data retention & deletion

A parent can delete a child profile at any time from the Parent Dashboard, which removes that child's saved progress. To delete a parent account entirely, contact us at the email below.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed, not in plain text, and all traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS).

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify parents directly.
