What is it? Capital letters (A, B, C) start sentences and names. End marks - the full stop (.), question mark (?) and exclamation mark (!) - finish sentences.
Why does it matter? They show the reader where each sentence starts and stops, and which words are names. Without them, writing is hard to read.
Where do we use it? Every sentence you write: homework, notes, messages, cards and stories.
